What is project arambha?
Project Arambha is a social initiative founded by two 18-year-old 1M1B Future Leaders- Disha Panda and Haneen Farid from Bangalore, India. It is in collaboration with an UN-accredited NGO called 1M1B (1 Million for 1 Billion). 'Arambha' means ‘beginning’ in Kannada, and Project Arambha signals the start of a new life for underprivileged girls. We aim to support the college education and secure the future of underprivileged girls between the age of 16-22 years by raising money for their education and preparing them for their job search through a specialized career program.
Project Arambha has even been selected to participate in the 1M1B Activate Impact Summit 2021 at the United Nations Headquarters, New York.
